Standard Pomade
STANDARD POMADE: A high hold, high shine styling pomade used for classic styles such as slick backs and pompadours. Expect a strong, pliable, and slick hold that keeps your hair in place all day and can be easily restyled. Unlike our multi-purpose pomade, this product is water-soluble, so it rinses out of your hair easily with water.

Directions: Scoop out the product and lightly spread onto hands. Apply evenly to the hair, fromback to front.
Dry vs. Wet: Apply to dry hair for increased volume and grip, or to wet hair for more shine, or
more loose and natural styles.
Blow dry: For greatly increased hold and decreased shine. Add a little more standard pomade
after achieving the desired shape for more shine.

Blood Orange & Bay
A fresh take on the classic barbershop bay rum, this fragrance revolves around the
complex beauty of pimenta racemosa, a bay tree native to the carribean. Bay is warm,
rich, and spicey, so we’ve balanced it with soft notes of amber and lavender, and bright
notes of blood orange and lime. Crafted exclusively using therapeutic grade essential
oils, absolutes, and plant extracts. No synthetic fragrances, ever.

Dry Wax
If there’s not enough hold in the Standard Pomade for your hair type (thick and curly), try applying some Dry Wax before the Standard Pomade. Dry Wax has extreme hold and
handles heat a bit better. Do this on slightly damp hair to maintain the shine of the Standard
Pomade.
Matte Paste
Adding Matte Paste will significantly increase the hold and control of Standard Pomade. Increase hold while giving you a more chunky and loose finger-combed style.
Hair Oil (Any!)
Increase shine, while also decreasing the hold. Great for slickbacks and other
classic barbershop styles.

Although both products can be used to achieve similar styling results, there is a key defining
difference. Each product caters to a different lifestyle / styling routine. O’Douds Standard
Pomade is water-soluble. This means that O’Douds Standard Pomade is easily rinsed out and
cleansed from the hair using just water. O’Douds Multi-Purpose Pomade is water-resistant. This
makes O’douds Multi-Purpose pomade very durable and long-lasting in hot / humid climates. -
What makes O’Douds Traditional Pomade unique from the rest of the O’douds line is it’s completely oil based formula. O’Douds Traditional Pomade is our only pomade product that contains no water. This makes the O’Douds Traditional Pomade stay in the hair for long periods of time. This product requires a much more in-depth cleansing routine to remove from the hair
as compared to our other pomade products. It is best used to achieve slick and shiny classic styles that can be re-styled day after day.

All of our jars, lids, and bottles are easily recycled. We recommend researching your local guidelines on separating recycled materials, drop off center locations, and curbside pick-up schedules. Don’t forget to rinse out the remaining product from your jars and bottles and remove the lid to recycle separately. The Earth thanks you, and so do we.

In the ingredients section on each of our product labels you will see a small jar emblem with
“12M” next to it. This emblem means that the product will expire 12 months after it is opened.
